Michaela, Nick, and their rhodesian ridgeback Julius make a very happy family. I had a great afternoon photographing them at Aspen Glen and can’t wait to shoot their wedding this September in Snowmass.
Last year I had the unique opportunity to join filmmakers Ashley Sabin and David Redmon in England and Ireland as they filmed donkeys for their documentary Choreography. Nollaig was one of the donkeys they documented. He was found abandoned in Ireland, and was rescued five days before Christmas by The Donkey Sanctuary, whose mission is to provide a safe environment where donkeys and mules can live free of suffering. Nollaig was in bad shape. The rescue team believed his hoofs had never been pared in his eight years of life. I met Nollaig after he healed from his parring at his foster home with the Walsh family . They had taken such good care of him that he was ready to move to The Donkey Sanctuary where he was eventually introduced to the herd. I was blown away by all the love & support that went into caring for Nolliag and his fellow donkeys at the Sanctuary
So to raise awareness and money for this incredible organization I’m selling a limited collection of donkey prints at mbPRINTS and donating a portion of the proceeds to The Donkey Sanctuary To visit mbPRINTS click here and to learn more about The Donkey Sanctuary click here .

These boys are growing up so fast – time has flown since our last shoot in Western Springs two years ago.

Running around Chicago capturing photos to celebrate Heather and Michael’s engagement was lots and lots of fun.
