Meet Nolliag

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to join Ashley Sabin & David Redmon on their latest documentary project in Ireland and England. They’re documenting donkeys. One of the donkey’s they are following is named Nollaig. He was found abandoned in a field in Ireland, and was rescued by The Donkey Sanctuary five days before Christmas. He was in pretty bad shape. The rescue team believed his hoofs had never been pared in his eight years of life. I met Nollaig after he healed from his parring, along with a rescued female donkey and her foal at a beautiful foster home with the Walsh family . They had taken such good care of the three donkeys that they were ready to move to The Donkey Sanctuary where they will eventually be introduced to the herd and live happily ever after.  I was blown away by all the love & support that went into caring for Nolliag and his fellow donkeys at the Sanctuary and through foster care.
